The scheduled closing
for the Pumping Station Road bridge over West Branch of Octoraro Creek in Colerain Township, Lancaster County, has been postponed until Monday, September 11. It was previously scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 5. Pumping Station Road is officially designated as State Route 2015. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from the state’s structurally deficient bridge list.
The bridge will be closed for construction and drivers will be directed around the bridge closure on a detour along Route 372 (Valley Road) and Route 472 (Kirkwood Pike). Construction is anticipated to be complete in November.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-277 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced statewide under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
