July 26, 2017
The scheduled closing of the Route 292 bridge over Branch of Whitelock Creek in Northmoreland Township, Wyoming County, has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 26.
Construction is now expected to begin during the week of July 31 and be complete in mid-August. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Demunds Road (SR 2005), Old Mill Road (SR 2003), Orange Road, and Brace Road. All truck traffic will be directed to follow a separate detour along Route 29, U.S. 6 and Route 92.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-165 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
