Construction on the Route 96 (Hyndman Road) bridge, spanning Wolf Camp Run in Londonderry Township, Bedford County, is scheduled to continue as part of the Pennsylvania Department of
transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Opened to traffic in November 2016 with temporary pavement tie-ins, the contractor will now continue work to complete the bridge deck and complete final approach roadway tie-in work.
Construction is expected to begin during the week of April 2 and be complete in mid-June. During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-313 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
