Construction crews rebuilding the Creamery Road crossing over Dundalk Creek (JV153) in Clifford Township are close to completing the bridge, which is now scheduled to reopen to traffic by March 18.

The Creamery Road (SR 2008) bridge closed for reconstruction last summer and was originally scheduled for completion in the fall. However, crews encountered unexpected large rocks during pile driving, preventing the construction of the abutments on either side of the bridge.

To address these unforeseen site conditions, several re-designs and other construction changes were necessary, which delayed completion through the winter. Some additional delay occurred while engineers ensured that the recently installed guiderail was installed correctly. Crews will be making some minor adjustments to the guiderail over the next week in order to have the bridge open by Friday, March 18.
