Bridge construction will require closures in several locations around Allegheny County next week.
JV419 – In Fawn Township, reconstruction of the Bakerstown Road bridge over Lardintown Run begins. The bridge carries about 2800 vehicles a day and was built in 1934. Traffic will be detoured to Lardintown Road, Bull Creek Road and Bakerstown Road. Work is scheduled for completion in late October.
JV420 – Also in Fawn Township, reconstruction of the Bull Creek Road bridge over Bull Creek begins. That bridge carries about 3700 vehicles a day and was built in 1930. Traffic will be detoured to Bull Creek Road, Howes Run Road, Bakerstown Road, and Ridge Road. Work is scheduled for completion in late October.
JV418 – In Indiana Township, reconstruction of the Lafever Hill Road bridge over Little Deer Creek begins. It carries about 750 vehicles per day and was built in 1940. Traffic will be detoured to Rich Hill Road, SR 1026, SR 1019, SR 8114, SR 8060 and SR 1015. Work is scheduled for completion in early November
JV438 – In South Park, reconstruction of the Piney Fork Road bridge over Piney Fork Creek begins. It carries about 950 vehicles per day and was built in 1899. Piney Fork Road traffic will detour to Brownsville Road, Cochrans Mill Road, Stilley Road, Gill Hall Road, and Peter’s Creek Road. Work is scheduled for completion in mid-November.
