August 03, 2016

The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in York County, with the reconstruction of a bridge in Lower Windsor Township.

SR 2029 (Manor Road) spans Cabin Creek northeast of Walnut Valley Farms. Construction is expected to begin the week of August 15, with traffic detoured to SR 124 (East Prospect Road), SR 2009 (Mt. Pisgah Road and Freysville Road) and SR 2031 (Windsor Road).  The work is expected to be complete by September, and will be performed by CH&D Construction. The crossing was built in 1934 and averages over 770 vehicles a day.

Replacing the bridge will remove the current weight limit postings, and will allow PennDOT to remove it from York County’s structurally deficient list.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
