The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Clearfield County in June with the reconstruction of a bridge in Boggs Township. Replacing the bridge will provide motorists with a new, modern structure and allow PennDOT to remove the bridge from Clearfield County’s structurally deficient list.
The SR 2007 (Blue Ball Road) bridge (JV 44) spans Laurel Run near the town of West Decatur. The bridge is expected to close during the week of June 20. Traffic will be detoured to SR 2024, SR 2051, SR 2034 and US 322.
Final completion of the bridge is expected to be in August 2016. The existing 27-foot bridge carries an average of more than 1,286 vehicles each day.
