Montoursville, PA – Construction continues on Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project in Sullivan County with anticipated completion in December.
Construction started on the Route 154 bridge spanning Double Run in Forks Township, Sullivan County (JV-127) in August and was expected to be complete in October.
The project has experienced significant weather-related delays and flooding. Completion of the project is now anticipated to be complete in December. Motorists will continue to utilize a single lane condition through the project area controlled by temporary stop signs.
The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is a public-private partnership (P3) between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP), under which PWKP will finance, design, replace, and maintain the bridges for 25 years. The P3 approach will allow PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impacts on motorists.
