June 20, 2016

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Clearfield County with reconstruction set to begin the week of June 27 for the following bridge:

Route 219 over Curry Run in Greenwood Township (JV38). Signals are in place to control an alternating traffic pattern. Replacing this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Clearfield County’s structurally deficient list. The 50 foot bridge dates from 1925 and carries and average of more than 2,400 vehicles each day. Completion of the new bridge is expected by November.

Construction starts are subject to change due to weather, equipment or other unforeseen issues.
