The Route 14 (Canton Street) bridge, spanning Fall Brook in Troy Borough, Bradford County, will continue on-going construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacing the bridge allows PennDOT to remove it from the list of bridges in “poor” condition.
Construction started in early April and is scheduled to be complete in mid-September. During this time, northbound Route 14 through traffic will be detoured using Creek Road (SR 3034) and Route 6. Southbound Route 14 traffic will be able to proceed through the work zone.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-89 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
