December 08, 2017

The scheduled replacement for the bridge carrying Route 97 (Baltimore Pike) over Alloway Creek at the Germany-Mount Joy Township line in Adams County has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin during the week of December 11.

Construction is now expected to begin during the week of December 18 and be complete in August 2018. During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.

This bridge is referred to as JV-223 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
