Construction for the Quaker Lake Road (SR 4002) bridge, spanning Rhiney Creek in Silver Lake Township, has been postponed to start in 2017. It was previously scheduled for replacement this fall as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
A release with full details on the new construction timeline will be distributed prior to the start of construction.
The bridge is one of twelve bridges in Susquehanna County planned to be replaced under the project.
The Quaker Lake Road bridge is referred to as JV-155 out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
