The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Armstrong County with the start of reconstruction on a bridge beginning in August.

The SR 3009 bridge over a Tributary to Buffalo Creek in West Franklin Township (JV365) is scheduled to close August 22. Traffic will be detoured using SR 3009 (Claypoole Road) to SR 3002 (Fox Hollow Road) and SR 0422 (Benjamin Franklin Highway).

Construction of the bridge will take approximately 10 weeks to complete. The bridge was built in 1942 and averages 633 vehicles a day.
