The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project will begin in Beaver County with the start of reconstruction on a bridge beginning in August.
A Georgetown Road bridge over Mill Creek in Greene Township (JV-459) is scheduled to start August 15, 2016. The bridge will also be built one-half at a time allowing one lane of alternating traffic controlled by a traffic signal to remain open throughout the project.
Construction of the bridge is expected to be completed by mid-March 2017. The bridge was built in 1929 and averages 583 vehicles a day.
