The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project will begin in Crawford County with the start of reconstruction on a bridge in late August.
The SR 408 (Main Street) bridge over Oil Creek in Hydetown Borough (JV-005) is scheduled to close August 29, 2016. Traffic will be detoured using SR 8, SR 1011, and Main Street. Construction of the bridge will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
The bridge was built in 1930 and averages 1,815 vehicles a day.
