The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project will begin in Crawford County with the start of reconstruction on a bridge beginning August.
The SR 6 (Grand Army Highway) bridge over a Tributary of Conneaut Lake Outlet in Vernon Township (JV-001) is scheduled to start August 8, 2016. The bridge will be built one-half at a time allowing one lane of alternating traffic controlled by a traffic signal to remain open throughout the project. Construction of the bridge will take approximately three months to complete.
The bridge was built in 1939 and averages 7,233 vehicles a day.
