Construction for the Logans Ferry Road (Route 2075) bridge, spanning Allegheny Valley Railroad in Plum Borough, Allegheny County, is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Allegheny County’s structurally deficient bridge list.
Construction is expected to begin during the week of September 25 and be complete in early December. During construction, car traffic will utilize a detour along Sardis Road (Route 2088) and Route 366 (Greensburg Road). Truck traffic will utilize a detour along Coxcomb Hill Road/Hulton Road (Route 2082), Freeport Road/Pittsburgh Street (Route 1001), Schmidt Bridge (Route 1038), Route 56, and Industrial Boulevard (Route 4087).
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-435 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
