Construction for the Route 427 (Bradleytown Road) bridge, spanning a tributary to Sugar Creek in Plum Township, Venango County, is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Venango County’s structurally deficient list.
Construction is expected to begin during the week of April 3 and be complete in mid-June. During this time, separate car and truck detours will be established.
The car detour will use Route 27, Le Boeuf Trail Road (SR 4009), Sunville Road (SR 4009) and Ridgeville Road (SR 4022).
The truck detour will use Route 427, Route 27, Route 173 and Route 322.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-016 and is one out of the 559 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
