Construction of the Route 233 (Doubling Gap Road) bridge over Conodoquinet Creek at the Lower Mifflin and North Newton Township line in Cumberland County will begin next week.
Construction activities will begin during the week of August
14, and be
complete in early
March, 2018. During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-239 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
