Nighttime Closure on Bridge Street Project in Stroud Township Postponed to January 13

The nighttime closure of Bridge Street, crossing over Pocono Creek in Stroud Township, Monroe County, scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2017 has been rescheduled to next week.

A full closure of the bridge will be implemented from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017.  Motorists will be detoured to US 209 and PA 611. Construction crews will be working on erecting beams during nighttime work.   After completing the nighttime work, a single lane of traffic will reopen northbound, with traffic detoured southbound to PA 611 and US 209.

This bridge is referred to as JV-190 and is one out of 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
