Dunmore, PA – Motorists should anticipate an overnight ramp closure on I-80 eastbound, from 7.00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, to 6:00 AM on Thursday, October 25, for paving work on the bridge carrying Z. H. Confair Memorial Hwy (Route 8005) Ramp E over I-80 in Butler Township, Luzerne County.
When the ramp closes overnight, motorists will be directed to follow a short detour along eastbound I-80 to exit 262, I-80 westbound to northbound I-81. The final paving work is part of the project that replaced the bridge in September 2017 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
Schedule is subject to change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-141 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
