Motorists should expect a right lane closure of US 22 eastbound on Tuesday, April 10, from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM. During this time, crews will repair a damaged impact attenuator, as part of construction for the PA 33
South bridge spanning US 22 in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County.
The bridge, which is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, is scheduled to be completed in May. When the PA 33
South bridge is complete, work will begin on the bridge carrying PA 33 North over US 22 in Bethlehem Township.
Schedules are subject to change.
This bridge is referred to as JV-198 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
