Indiana, PA – Briar Hill Road, located near Freeport Road (SR 3017) in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4 for milling and paving work.
During the short-term road closure, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along US 422 Business Route (Butler Road), Route 268 (Franklin Hill Road) and Freeport Road (SR 3017).
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule is subject to change.
This work is part of the project to replace the bridge carrying Freeport Rd (Route 3017) over Route 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, which opened to traffic in December 2018 as part of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. This bridge is referred to as JV-368 and is one out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.
