Pennsylvania Rapid Bridge Replacement Project Issue 2: Spring 2016
The Commonwealth is taking advantage of the new P3 tool signed into law in 2012 to begin a new initiative to address the state’s nearly 4,500 Structurally Deficient (SD) bridges. With the P3 approach, we can replace hundreds of these bridges more quickly; save money; and minimize the impact on the traveling public.
The Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners understand the challenges faced as a DBE and will work with you to overcome obstacles to actively participate on these high-profile projects. We have successfully implemented subcontracting plans across the United States using outreach, assistance, and mentoring efforts.
The Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners believe engaging local community and DBE resources benefits our projects and the communities in which we do business. We seek to establish relationships with local DBE firms, encourage and assist potential DBEs to obtain necessary certification and prequalification, and aid development of DBEs through their active involvement.
We want to make sure that all local, interested firms are aware of their opportunities on this project and how to successfully pursue those opportunities. Through timely communication using established small business and DBE organizations, seminars, and our own DBE database, we will keep you well informed of specific opportunities as the pursuit of this project continues.
