Plans Remain Available for Review for Westmoreland County Bridge Replacement Project

Bridge to be replaced as part of Public-Private Partnership


Bridge:    Route 982 (Latrobe Street) bridge, spanning Ninemile Run in Unity Township (JV-550).

During construction car traffic will utilize a detour along Route 2027 (Whitney Road) and Pipe Town Road (Route 2023).

Truck traffic will utilize a detour along Whitney Road (Route 2027), Route 981 (Latrobe Grabicks Taver Road) and Route 30.

Location:   Unity Township Municipal Building

When:     Current plans have been on display since July 24, 2017, and will remain on display for informational purposes

 only through September 29, 2017

Lobby hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

A letter announcing the start of construction will be mailed out two weeks in advance to all project stakeholders. You will be given the opportunity to sign up as a project stakeholder at the plans display locations.   

 

Public Meeting Planned for Washington County Bridge Project

Bridge to be replaced as part of Public-Private Partnership


Bridge: Route 88 (Brownsville Road) over Peters Creek in Finleyville Borough and Union Township (JV-520)

During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a car detour along Washington Avenue

(Route 1006) and T-992 (Patterson Road). Truck drivers will be directed to follow a truck

detour along Washington Avenue (Route 1006) and Route 837 (5th Street).

Date: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4 - 5:30 p.m.

Representatives from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners and PennDOT will be available to discuss the bridge project and answer questions. There will be no formal presentation. Construction plans will be on display for reference.
