The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project completed a bridge in Columbia County today, as the Rohrsburg Road (SR 254) Bridge over a tributary to Mud Run in Greenwood Township reopened.

The bridge construction started in April with traffic using staged construction with temporary traffic signals, and reopened Monday June 13. The work was performed by Rylind Construction of York, PA. The new crossing is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed to last as long as 100 years.

Motorists will encounter occasional flagging operations for cleanup work for the remainder of the week.
