The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project continues in Allegheny County with the start of construction of a bridge on Route 2013 bridge beginning in mid-September.

The state-owned bridge is located on Saxonburg Boulevard, spanning Little Pine Creek in O’hara Township. The road is scheduled to close September 13. Traffic will be directed to follow a detour along Route 1010 (Harts Run Road) and Route 8. Construction of the bridge is expected to be completed by mid-November.  

The bridge was built in 1955 and averages 9,417 vehicles a day.
